Who are you?
As a S&O (Sales and Operations) Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the planning process within an organization to balance demand (sales) and supply (operations). Are you analytical and a real problem solver? Then this position is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales data and market trends to create an accurate demand forecast.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotions, seasonal influences and market trends into planning.
- Match demand with available production capacity and resources.
- Establish production plans and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent over- or under-stocking.
- Ensure optimal balance between inventory costs and availability.
- Function as a liaison between departments such as purchasing, logistics, production and sales.
- Coordinate supply chain activities to ensure goods are available on time and in appropriate quantities.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in the planning process.
- Adjust plans when unexpected changes such as demand spikes or supply chain disruptions occur.
- Prepare reports on performance indicators (e.g., forecast accuracy, delivery reliability, and inventory turns).
- Make recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
What You Bring to the Table
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master diploma in a relevant field (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Logistics).
- Strong analytical ability and experience with data analysis and forecasting tools.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with various departments.
- Organizational skills to coordinate and optimize complex processes.
- Preferably experience with ERP or planning software.
