At AFA, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. As Quality leader within our Research & Innovation (R&I) team, you will lead the quality approach for creative, cross-disciplinary projects that shape the future of AFA’s technologies and products. You’ll play a key role in assuring innovation meets business requirements — turning projects into functional, performing and scalable solutions.
In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers and researchers, but most importantly you will lead a team of two quality engineers into high level risk anticipation and management, with existing and new quality control methods and tools.
You will report directly to the Head of Product Innovation and operate as part of AFA’s global R&I organization, bridging creativity into science and science into technology.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate EHS tasks within R&I.
- Create structured reporting with risks and action plan, and alerts in case any topic needs escalation within R&I team.
- Coordinate data quality and usage improvement, for data management optimization.
- Develop predictive tools, in collaboration with outer partners expertise in simulation and data science, for process optimization.
- Be the first point of contact from R&I, within AFA, for any requests related to quality activity.
- Present test results and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, with a specialization in Quality and EHS.
- At least 8 years of experience in a quality role within an international, multidisciplinary environment (preferably within the personal care, packaging, or consumer goods industry).
- Proven track record in implementing and optimizing quality protocols and programs.
- Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with diverse teams of engineers and researchers.
- Hands-on, curious, and proactive — capable of combining creative thinking with scientific analysis.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Interest in packaging, dispensing, and product innovation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to global AFA locations.
