As a Host/Hostess at AFA, you’re the first point of contact for our organization. You’ll make employees, visitors, and external partners feel instantly welcome. With your warm appearance, attention to detail, and service-oriented approach, you’ll contribute daily to a pleasant, professional, and well-organized work environment. You’ll combine hospitality with practical support and ensure the office looks neat and presentable.
What will you be doing?
Hospitality & Reception
• Welcoming and greeting visitors, customers, and suppliers
• Answering questions and guiding guests
• Ensuring a pleasant welcome and a professional first impression
Office & Facilities
• Maintaining a neat, tidy, and presentable work environment
• Managing meeting rooms (reservations, setting up, tidying up)
• Inventory management (office supplies, pantry, coffee/tea)
• Supporting lunches, meetings, and internal gatherings
• Identifying areas for improvement in office organization and facilities
Support & Collaboration
• Administrative, e-mail and organizational support
• Collaborating with Office Management, HR, and other teams
Who are you?
You are someone who is energized by caring for others and creating a pleasant work environment. You are also hospitable, friendly, and service-oriented and presentable with strong communication skills. You have attention to detail and quality. You are proactive and independent, reliable and responsible.
Also important:
• Available for 2 to 2.5 days a week.
• Flexible work schedule during office hours.
• Proven experience in hospitality, reception and specially office support is essential for this role.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English is required, as the role involves daily communication with colleagues, visitors and external partners.
